Being Indifferent
I have stopped thinking. I do not want to give myself time to think anything that could give me aches.
Being indifferent is what I choose. Ignoring and being indifferent are class apart. Latter being superior.
When you ignore something, you give it an undue importance you don't realize.
Indifference is the key. Temporary may be. Just, it is peaceful this way.

From Lunar to Lunatic
Last night, I was up to almost the whole time to witness the Lunar Eclipse of the century. Indeed it was a divine experience and of course the opportunity of multiple lifetimes. I feel charged up today with positive energy despite the fact that I overslept today and skipped the routine workout :D
So, it happened, I was standing in the balcony with my brother to look at the brilliant view, when the brother was tired and bored to stand and decided to continue with his Mortal Combat, I stood in the balcony with my camera (Point and Shoot of course *sigh*), to get lucky and get some shots of this phenomenon.
The shots weren't that great, but I still managed to get one or two sexy poses from the celebrity of the night, when, all of sudden, there was one huge blinding bright bolt of lightening in the sky. A few birds, must be crows, guessing from their size and shape flew around and by the time I could understand what was happening or get my camera to take a tour around, the batteries of the camera ran out and it made a bye bye sound. I was kind of surprised and shocked to see the batteries dying because I had charged them already for this show. But that was not end of the show. In fact, it was the beginning. Yes.
The daring person I am, and I am (in)famous for it in my family, I decided to stay there and keep witnessing the cool dude getting eaten up. It was nice. Actually, brilliant, magnificent, splendid, enchanting and what not. It was an extra ordinary beauty.
| One Shot from my Point and Shoot camera. |
It was when I started seeing or imagining or visualizing moving shadows of like a wolf face and paws in whatever was visible of the moon after full eclipse. With my camera dead and my phone unable to capture the beauty or spookiness, I was left with nothing to record that very moment, I picked my iPod and typed this as status on Facebook.
"My camera batteries ran out all of sudden and I can see shadows moving in whatever is visible of the moon after the full eclipse. This is NOT a set of a horror movie. If I am found dead, treat this as my testament."
As soon as I tapped the 'Share' button over there, thanks to Punjab State Electricity Board, there was a power cut resulting in interrupted wi-fi connection which dint post my status. Honestly, I freaked out for one moment.
But then, the guts returned and I everything went back to beautiful. The wi-fi resumed and the status was posted. I was way too tired and bugged by the mosquitoes by the time the moon remained eclipsed and before it could resume being uncovered, I had slept peacefully in my bed.

And as un-expected, I woke up alive. :D

The Inevitable Rain Post
2011 has been unusually generous in my part of the world as far as Rains are concerned. Even though they have caused loss for farmers and damage of grains during harvest season that just past by, being a little selfish and taking it on a micro level, I have loved every dab of rain that dropped on Earth.
There were a lot of rains during February ending and early March which kept pushing away the winters bidding farewell for the year. March stayed pleasant, so did April. May witnessed storms, thunders, hailstorms too which kept the advent of usual scorching summer at bay. June has started and it remains pleasant.

When it rains, my soul feels blessed.
When it rains, I feel happy.
When it rains, my eyes cry, for no apparent reason.
When it rains, my heart smiles.
When it rains, my creative juices gush around.
When it rains, my creative juices gush around.

Recieved with Thanks :)
Yeah. Finally. I received my hard earned prize of the treasure hunt I won at Advertisingh. Though I had almost forgotten about it. But when the door bell rang at noon on a Saturday, thought of going out in the scorching sun to answer that bell was maddening.
Anyhow, it was worth it. The feel of the packet in my hand excited me and I could not wait to tear it open even before signing the receipt for the courier boy. :D
The suspense was killing.
And what was in the packet, I present

Inside it was a sticky note. :D
hehe.. It all right Jagjit, Never mind saying sorry. I am in love with it though I haven't started it yet. Thanks a ton!!

Of wedding season and My involvement
Yes, this is whay has been keeping me busy and unabling to catch up with all your blogs.
It was my one of closest friend's wedding this 15th of Feb in Chandigarh. With this, all my friends are married now and the 'peer pressure' has reached the danger level. Now another wedding and it will overflow and flood.
Anyways, coming back to the post, the wedding was in Chandigarh, and since my friend's father-in-law is deputy registrar in Panjab Univ Chandigarh, the staying arrangements were made in the University Campus guest house, and to add to the excitement, the youth festival was going on- Valentines day special. :D
We reached the campus on 14th Feb in the evening and it was time to check out the stuff, gawk and have some fun.. ;)
Divya- another friend and I started for a stroll in the campus and wow!! what a campus. We are proud of our GND Univ campus at Amritsar, but the pride kept sweeping away every second we looked at the PU campus. It covers a large estate- almost 2 complete sectors of the capital!!
Now, first place we landed at was the Giant Wheel :D, bought tickets and stood waiting for our turn to get on and cherish the childhood memories..
It was damn fun, loved every bit of it, though Divya was a li'l scared in the beginning, but with increasing velocity, she too started enjoying it.
As we walked more in the campus, the Rose garden had Rose festival going on too, had loads of fun over there- lovely flowers, lovely people- baby show was going on too :D

Okay, since we were both newbies to the campus, we thought of asking someone if there was something else worth seeing in the campus, we saw a guy approaching us and before he could say something, I shot the question at him, I guess it was a blunder, the guy was he- Basanti (of the legendry Sholay). Once he started talking, we could not find an escape. OMG!! I had a funny thought about him- that he might have had a notion that if he shut his mouth even for a moment, it would stick so he kept talking to avoid that :P
Finally, I had to tell him that we ll see him some-other-time..
After a long stroll, it was time to get ready for the function- ring ceremony, we went back put on our dancing shoes and reached the venue..
For those who are not acquainted with what a Punjabi wedding is like, it is huge, grandeur, pomp and show, food, dance and drinks!!
The function was good, the USP was the powerpoint slide show they ran of the growing up pictures Bride and the Groom since their birth till date, celebrating togetherness.. :)
Next day was the wedding, it was really grand, here are the pictures..
For a change, the bride did not cry at all at the time of vidai.. Albeit all her family was crying, and for a change, I found myself tearful too though I despise public display of emotion and I dint shed even one tear at my closest friend's wedding few months back!
And for all my girl friends, the main attraction of the post is- finally, I managed to get my hair curled!! Since I have very straight hair, that curls dont ever last even 30 minutes and I badly wanted to have a different hair do, for I have been monotoned with my hair. But this time, hats off to the hair dresser, they lasted one whole day, though he had guaranteed the spirals to stay till the next hair wash, but I knew, one brush down and they ll be gone.. But anyways, i loved them :)

The Big Fat Punjabi Wedding
Ms. Divya Chhabra

Mr. Manish Arora

Mr. Manish Arora & Mrs. Manya Arora
Dtd- October 13, 2008.
They have a strange ritual of changing the name of the bride at the time of '7 Phere'. (How I wonder, the girl has to leave behind her sole existance- even her name when it is the time to go *sighs!!*)
The wedding was celebrated with great pomp and show (doesnt it sound like some high school essay :D)
